Prep Your Model For Delivery

*Note: Depending on where and who you are prepping the files for, might vary on how you setup your model.

– Select everything and Delete it’s history
– Freeze your Transformations Depending if you moved a piece to a certain position will decide whether or not if you want to Freeze Transformations
– Reposition your model above the Grid so it’s sitting on 0 axis
– Reposition the pivot of the model so it’s at 0,0.
– Freeze Transformations
(Now when you bring in this model into the scene, it will sit on the 0,0 axis)

 Check the Normals

Normals tells Maya which faces are facing outside and what faces are facing inside.

How to Check Normals.

Quick way to check is to turn off 2-sided lighting.
